This is hands down one of the best Afghan grocery and restaurants I’ve been to! The food is truly authentic, just like a home-cooked meal. You can tell everything is made with love—the flavors are rich, the ingredients fresh, and every dish is perfectly cooked. The restaurant is run by a wonderful family—the mother prepares the food, and her sons and father help run the place. Their hospitality is unmatched! Every time I come, they welcome me with warm smiles and great customer service. The restaurant is also very clean and well-kept, making the dining experience even better. If you’re looking for real Afghan food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience at Carbon Grocery Store & Halal Meat Market in Hayward. The store is clean, well-organized, and offers a good selection of halal groceries and fresh meat. Special thanks to Farid — he is extremely friendly, respectful, and helpful. He takes the time to make sure customers get exactly what they need and always provides excellent service. The quality of the halal meat is consistently fresh, and you can really tell they care about their customers and the community. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality halal meat and great customer service in Hayward. Will definitely keep coming back!

Whenever I'm in the eastbay, I make an extra effort to stop at Caravan to get some fresh hot food. Today, I got bolani kachaloo and bolani gandana. The bolani's are cooked to perfection. You can tell they have a family kitchen and cook authentic food that you would get as if you are visiting someone's home. They also have the best Afghan groceries, when I am there, I always find something unique and traditional. I bought a thermos today and I'll use it for making Afghan green tea, which I drink throughout the day at home.

The owner who is also the order taker is has an excellent host and treats her customers with respect and dignity. The Kabuli Palau and the shami kabab are so delicious that will melt in your mouth. Bottom line, the food and the service is superb. Caravan is the best Afghani restaurant and very reasonable price restaurant and grocery store. Must try for yourself.

I visited this shop and had a great experience. Everything was excellent. The quality, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized. I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend this shop to others. I will happily come back again.
